Lawray Architects CDM Coordinator's services are more in demand than ever, with a large number of new contracts for Bron Afon Community Housing, Cwmbran totalling a contract value of approx £22 million.
Raymond Pye is currently working on projects including the refurbishment, renovation and recladding of some 8000 detached, semi-detached and terraced properties, four storey blocks of flats and tower blocks in the Torfaen region of South Wales.
Other current projects include Spilman Street council offices in Carmarthen, Llanelli Theatre (Works 2) and Gyfun Emlyn Creative Arts Plaza.
CDM Regulations 2007 - what are they?
The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 were brought in to improve health and safety in the construction industry by ensuring that competent people are appointed and planning and risk management processes are in place.
The CDM Coordinator's role (formerly known as Planning Supervisor) is to liaise with the consultants, clients, contractors and HSE, and to advise the client on health and safety matters relating to their project.
The role must be fulfilled by a person who is competent in construction health and safety.
