Position : Senior Architectural Technologist
David joined Lawray as an Architectural Technician in 1998 after completing his HNC. He has progressed to the position of Senior Architectural Technologist, and has further continued his studies to gain extensive knowledge in CAD, 3D CAD and Architectural Technology through various NVQ courses.
David has been responsible for Design Development and Project Administration on various types of projects, from inception stage through to completion.
He has experience of both Conservation and New Build projects including Educational, Domestic, Commercial, Industrial and Leisure developments for both private and public sector Clients. He has also built up good working relationships with Clients and various Local Authorities and Lead Consultants.
David is responsible for keeping up to date with, and applying various legislation to Lawray documentation and drawings including Building Regulations, Education Building Bulletins, British Standards, DDA requirements, BREEAM credits and also National Building Specifications. David has completed his Emergency Aid at Work First Aid qualification and has also attained his CSCS Health & Safety accreditation, holding a current CSCS card.
David is currently learning Welsh part time to help the practice in its promotion of our Welsh language policy and maintain relationships with our Welsh speaking clients.
In August 2010 David successfully completed his CIAT application and Professional Practice interview, and has now achieved Chartered Member status of CIAT (MCIAT).
