Ysgol y Gwendraeth, Drefach, Crosshands boasts a string of Welsh “outside halfs” among its past student success rate.
Performing Arts in other forms is also important to the curriculum. This project provided them with a new purpose built facility including computer room, music mixing, and performance space.
The brief was to design a multi purpose hall within the school site incorporating teaching facilities for the school by day and for use by the community evenings and weekends.
The design includes a 500 seat hall, raised stage, changing rooms, IT suite, music rooms, practice rooms and a first floor projection room incorporating state of the art sound and lighting equipment.
