In June 1998 the new Creative Arts Building was opened to provide purpose built accommodation for 400 full time students in the Performing Arts and Design, Fashion and Textiles, Art and Media Studies.
A major part of this was the Arts and Media Centre with media studies, film and recording studios, fashion, costume and graphics workshops, a studio theatre, and music workshops.
The Drama Studio provides for both teaching and performance in a large space which is divisible by an acoustic wall to provide smaller practical spaces. Retractable seating, comprehensive lighting and sound systems are fully integrated.
The project was completed under a design build contract, with Lawray as Project Managers, the result being an economical but high quality addition to Llandrillo College.
Subsequent projects for the College included a new Hair and Beauty Therapy facility and a new Vehicle and Body Repair Workshop.
