Lawray were appointed Architects for the new European Production facility for Maruwa at Orbital Park, Ashford in Kent. Maruwa have developed the Worlds largest market share in ceramic substrates and components and the base in Kent was ideal to service the U.K. and the rest of Europe.
The project provided 22,000 square feet of Production and Warehousing together with 9,500 square feet of Offices and Ancillary Accommodation. The building comprised single storey steel portal frames clad with flat panel walling and the provision for future expansion was designed into the project at the initial stage to provide future flexibility in growth. The front elevation of the new premises was radiused and this feature was extended through to the car parking and soft landscaping to the front of the building.
