Set in the heart of the award winning Millenium Coastal Path, the disused land along 'The Avenue' became available for redevelopment.
Working on behalf of Carmarthen County Council's Regeneration Department, the brief was to provide a design for a mixture of light industrial and office units targeting users under the age of 30.
Split into 2 buildings, separated by a communal service yard, the development consists of 12,000 square ft of light industrial and 4,800 square ft of office units. The building also has a central control area, meeting rooms, communal toilets and a rest area.
The work was procured under a design and build contract where, after the design stage, Lawray remained as advisors to the client and oversaw the build itself.
The project recieved an Objective One grant from the Welsh Assembly Government, jointly supported by Carmarthen County Council.
On recent completion, Carmarthen County Council have made the units available for let, attracting a positive response.
