Position : Regional Director (Architect)

Alan joined Lawray in March 1995 whilst seeing out his final year of his BA(Hons) in Architecture. He went on to complete his professional studies at the University of Greenwich whilst retaining a position at Lawray. In November 2000 Alan graduated and took up the post of Project Architect. He has worked on a variety of projects, which range from large-scale office refurbishments, educational facilities and residential properties. Works such as the refurbishment of the prestigious Athenaeum Club in Pall Mall, Art Deco styled Westlink House (Head Offices for Tarmac Construction), The Church House, the Parliament building and clerical offices for the Church of England located adjacent Westminster Abbey and a country residence belonging to a Saudi Sheikh to name but a few.

Alan has an enthusiasm for design, with a willingness to create architectural 'incidences' within the confines of any existing or new space. Focused and well motivated to overseeing a project through to a successful conclusion, Alan also has the attributes of a team player prepared to listen and learn. He is approachable and always ready to address on site discrepancies, which may arise during the construction process. His recent involvement and Project Management of a top floor contemporary Penthouse within Foster’s Albion Riverside Apartment building under Richard Meier and Partners of New York has helped to hone his attitude toward contemporary architecture per se.
The projects that Alan has been involved with on behalf of Lawray Architects are wide ranging and include the following:
