Born in Cardiff in 1954, Martin studied at the Welsh School of Architecture under Professor Dewi-Prys Thomas. He joined Lawray in the late 1970’s and has been instrumental in the development and growth of the company over the past 25 years.
A well-respected designer and illustrator, his flair for design has been at the core of the company’s success. With expert knowledge on environmental and accessibility issues, Martin has lectured on both subjects and his work is featured in publications by English Heritage and ‘Who’s Who in Architecture’.
Martin opened the London Office in 1990 with commissions from both the Church and the Crown. Following the successful completion of several projects for the Corporation of The Church House, Westminster, London, they have retained Martin’s services as a Consultant Architect. A past president of The Surveyors’ Club, he has also received a commendation from the Worshipful Company of Masons for work completed to repair the Caen stone façade of a property in Kensington Palace Gardens, London.
Martin has been involved in numerous high profile conservation projects in London, gaining exposure both nationally and locally in the media.

Martin currently holds a Professionally Qualified Person (Design) CSCS card.
Martin is married to Jane, a teacher & lecturer at The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, and has four children.
Personal Interests include swimming and water polo.
