In this flagship project two existing 1960’s schools were replaced with a new £28 million school building for 1600no. pupils including a Sixth Form Centre, SEN Regional Resource Centre and Leisure Centre.

The building was constructed between September 2006 and August 2008, with final site works and demolitions finished by Easter 2009.

Lawray design for the school embodies the ideas behind the Government’s School for the Future initiative and the latest guidance on Inclusion, Sustainable Design and Subject Areas. The project has achieved a Very Good BREEAM Rating amongst other awards.
