The new school, designed to accommodate 1400no. pupils was built on the school playing fields whilst the existing school remained operational. Following completion of the new build the existing 1930’s school was demolished and new car parking was provided in its place.
The School includes a Sixth Form Centre and full range of facilities for 11 – 18 education.
Lawray were appointed by Mansells as the Contractors Architects for the Design and Build contract for the School. Works started on site in November 2003 and the new school opened in September 2004 with the demolitions and site development completed in March 2005.
